This mini lesson will revolve around teaching the different language we use when talking with different audiences.
I will start off class talking on the phone with my best friend. I will tell her that i was going to be late to work because of traffic. Then I will have another phone conversation with my boss in a formal tone letting him know I would be late for work. I will ask my students to explain the different language I used in both conversations. They will compare, contrast, and come up with their own ideas why I used different language for different audiences.
